We all go through a transition. We get older, we explore new avenues, we evolve and become (or at least try to) the person we want to be. We don't need to have a resolution in order to change. Nor do we need to wait 365 more days. The 'New Year' for most symbolizes a clean slate, change, and making promises to ourselves in order to do better. I've always found that pretty silly because the same problems we had on Dec. 31st will still be there Jan.1st. We do not have to wait for a new year to create a resolution. I believe everyday we can evaluate the things we wish to accomplish and brainstorm how we are able to achieve them. How are we...YOU...going to do better? How will TOMORROW be a BETTER day than today?

I'm no where near perfect. I'm guilty of waiting until it's pouring before I get an umbrella. I've made a few promises to myself and I have a plan of action. I'm not concerned as to what day or year it is as much as I am concerned about making each day a progressive one.

Ex marks the spot.

Ex's are Ex's FOR A REASON...SMH....it's a shame after all you've been through friendship still can't work out...what was the point of being so close for so long to just kick each other out of your life? waste.

I try to have a decent relationship with my ex even though we may not be together. Sometime it takes a lot of time after you break up to establish one, but I do try none the less. I hate having "hard feelings" with someone because you never know what may happen on any given day. If I have told you I loved you once in my life, there is NO WAY I can forget you.

I believe it is healthy to stay in good standings. I am not saying call/text everyday, no. Thats not fair to the partner your currently with but come'on, if we spent years together, it's not cool to never speak again because you can't get over something.

Just my thoughts.

No More Weave!!! Part 1

One thing that will never cease to amaze me is how 'anti-fake' men are. Some, not all will not date women with weaves or extensions for example. Everyone knows a man loves au natural but come'on guys! We're women, and we like to play dress up now and again too! I believe if men had more choice in the cosmetics department they would understand that some of us...are only enhancing our natural beauty by adding extensions, wearing make-up, or getting our nails done.

However, it seems as though the same men who preach all natural is the way to be are the same men who can't stop staring at the overly done up woman with the D implants. Men are always quick to name of a slue of celebrity crushes as well...well, NEWSFLASH! it may not be as noticeable, but celebrities receive a number of procedures that change there natural looks. From lipo-Disolve, smart lipo, zerona, restylane, collagen fillers, chemical peels, veneers...and the list can go on and on without touching the invasive plastic surgery procedures, its very unlikely that your crush is who you perceive them to be!

My thought is that you should be happy your girl wears a few extensions now and then or a clip in or two! And hey...if it LOOKS real, whats the problem? you don't always have to run your hands through our hair!

Shhhhh!...Don't Tell!

Relationships should never have to be kept a secret. If they do, or one of the persons requests you keep it on the hush...then there is a problem. I know this first hand because I was involved, for the first time this year in one. How real is the relationship if no one can know about it? And if you always have to keep you and him a secret...well...unfortunately it's because he's involved with different women. It's one thing for him to be weary about being in a relationship, especially if your guy is "high profile" but, if he is already calling you his woman (only to your face) then who the hell cares...maybe he shouldn't jump into things so fast or maybe he wants to live in a fantasy world...either way...I never want to be apart of that again...no fun. When you have a boyfriend you want to show him off, your glowing, and your so excited to embark on the journey...But how can you do that if in public your supposed to act like it all doesn't exist??? I'm still yet to find out. Just say no to the Shhhh!....Don't tell relationship!

So can anyone tell me why Ri Ri (aka Rhianna) is always advertised in the media as being a slut? From herpes, being a lesbian, to her ex in Barbados, to NBA players, Jay-Z and now Kanye???
